Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda game, The Legend of Zork: Battle for Zork, is available for pre-order this week in the United States and Europe.
Pre-orders can be made through the company’s website, Nintendo Direct, or through select retailers.
The game, slated for release April 3 for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, is the fourth Zelda game to be released for the system, and the fourth title to have a 3DS exclusive.
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is also on sale this week, though its release date hasn’t been announced.
The Legend Of Zork is one of the biggest, most ambitious projects Nintendo has ever made.
This game was the inspiration for the original Zelda, the last game on the series, and has been described as one of its biggest failures.
The series has been plagued by constant delays since the release of the original game in 1997, and Nintendo’s first major Wii U release in 2009.
The original game’s story follows a pair of adventurers in a medieval setting who embark on a quest to recover a lost piece of the legendary sword Zork.
The franchise is still considered Nintendo’s greatest success to date.
Zelda, however, was never able to make it to the next generation of consoles.
“It was a great time to be a Nintendo fan,” said David Hayter, who worked on the Zelda series for 20 years.
“The Nintendo brand has become synonymous with innovation, creativity, and innovation.
When we started making the Legend of Link games, we were all excited to see what we could do with the technology, but we were afraid that Nintendo would never give us what we wanted.
I hope this is a turning point for Nintendo, because they deserve a lot of credit for making the first Zelda game great.”
The Zelda franchise has sold more than 10 million units worldwide since its first installment was released in 1999, and fans have spent decades trying to get their hands on a copy of the game.
The Zelda series has sold a record number of million copies since its release in 1997.
